Officers from the Southern Division swiftly apprehended two men in connection with separate robbery incidents. The task force first arrested a suspect following reports of a robbery in Vatuwaqa, where a group of men reportedly stole a safe and various electronic items from a business in the Lalita Bhindi Sub-Division. After being alerted, police teams acted quickly and detained one suspect.
In a second incident, a woman walking along Gaji Road was reportedly robbed late Saturday night. The victim pursued the suspect, and responding officers nearby intervened, successfully capturing the suspect, who was then taken into custody at the Raiwaqa Police Station. Investigations into both cases are ongoing.
