International sports star Sonny Bill Williams is the featured guest at today’s South Pacific Boxing Promotion (SPBP) event at Prince Charles Park in Nadi. He expressed his understanding of the pre-fight nerves experienced by boxers, stating, “I have been in the same situation, and I know the nerves that come with it.”
Williams anticipates an exciting event, saying, “Good luck to all the boxers. I know it is going to be a sell-out, and I appreciate being part of it.” He extended his gratitude to Mohammed Shameem, the director of South Pacific Boxing Promotion, for organizing the event.
He also noted that the determination on the boxers’ faces indicated their readiness for the fight night. Williams is particularly eager to watch the Singh brothers, Sebastian Singh and Ubayd Haider, in action. At the weigh-in, Shameem reminded boxers to be punctual for their matches.
