International sports star Sonny Bill Williams will be the chief guest at the South Pacific Boxing Promotion (SPBP) event today at Prince Charles Park in Nadi. Williams expresses his understanding of the pre-fight nerves experienced by boxers, having been in similar situations himself. He anticipates an exciting event and wishes good luck to all the fighters, confident that it will be a sell-out, and he extends thanks for the opportunity to attend.
He acknowledged Mohammed Shameem, the director of South Pacific Boxing Promotion, for organizing the event. Williams noted that the determination on the faces of the boxers indicated their readiness for fight night. He is particularly eager to see the Singh brothers, Sebastian Singh and Ubayd Haider (formerly known as Nathan Singh), compete.
During the weigh-in, Shameem reminded the boxers to arrive on time for their scheduled fights.
