Solomoni Nata has been named the new Chief Executive Officer of the i-Taukei Land Trust Board (iTLTB) for a tenure of two years. The announcement was made by iTLTB Chair and Minister for i-Taukei Affairs, Ifereimi Vasu, following Nata’s successful interim CEO tenure last year.
During his interim term, Nata realized many prominent milestones which include the establishment of the i-Taukei Wealth Fund and the Land Development facility. These programs aim to significantly aid landowning factions by offering them improved financial prospects and sustainable development.
Vasu commended Nata’s leadership over the previous year, noting the significant advancements made under his tenure. He expressed his confidence in Nata’s ability to further propel the TLTB towards higher achievements and to fulfill the Board’s objective more effectively.
Nata was also praised for his significant contributions to the review of laws and policies impacting the iTaukei people. His endeavours have had a significant impact, restoring trust, fortifying relationships with chiefs and landowners, strengthening the corporate structure, improving job security, and offering better skill development opportunities for management and staff. He also established new policies, diversified investments for landowners, and facilitated the purchase of TLTB buildings in various regions.
Under the Board’s supervision, Nata is expected to continue leading major reforms aimed at transforming the TLTB. His goal is to ensure it offers improved service to landowning units and operates in line with the organization’s mission.
