A prominent retailer has issued an important reminder about the need for consistent personal and general hygiene as flu season approaches. The Punjas Group has donated numerous soap bars to students, emphasizing the critical role of handwashing in maintaining cleanliness and health.
Priya Kumar, the quality control manager for Ocean Soaps Limited, highlighted that the company has been producing a diverse range of soaps and has established a state-of-the-art laboratory and testing facility at its Navutu location in Lautoka, adhering to stringent Australian certification standards.
Kumar informed the students that the ingredients in the Bodyguard soap brand are effective for enhancing personal hygiene and preventing the spread of germs through proper handwashing. She noted, “Handwashing with soap is expected to significantly contribute to the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goal of reducing deaths of children under five by two-thirds by 2015. As good habits start in childhood, children can lead the change in promoting the use of soap for handwashing within their communities.”
