Soap for Safety: A Flu Season Reminder to Kids

A prominent retail product manufacturer has issued an important reminder to maintain personal and general hygiene as flu season approaches. The Punjas Group has donated hundreds of soap bars to students to emphasize the significance of handwashing in promoting cleanliness and health.

Priya Kumar, the quality control manager of the group, highlighted that Ocean Soaps Limited has been producing various soap products for several years and has established a world-class laboratory and testing facility in Navutu, Lautoka, which meets rigorous Australian certification standards. She informed the students that the ingredients in the Bodyguard soap brand are particularly effective in enhancing personal hygiene and preventing the transmission of germs through proper handwashing.

Kumar pointed out that regular handwashing with soap plays a crucial role in achieving the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goal of reducing child mortality rates by two-thirds for children under five years of age by 2015. She emphasized that instilling good hygiene habits in children can lead to widespread changes in behaviors, such as the consistent use of soap during handwashing, within their communities.
