“Sigatoka Methodist College Clinches Victory in Under-16 Schools Final”

Number eight Repeka Mudunavere scored twice for Sigatoka Methodist College as they triumphed over Votualevu College 26-10 in the final of the Weet-Bix Raluve Under-16 Western Secondary Schools at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka, today.

The team successfully defended their Western title for the third consecutive year. SMC led 12-5 at halftime.

Additional tries for Sigatoka Methodist College came from winger Sereima Naruku and Seniwaite Sayabo, with three successful conversions by first five eight Alitia Navukula.

Votualevu College from Nadi managed to score two tries through flanker Verenaisi Vananalagi and number eight Salome Navuda.

SMC, the defending national champion, continues to be the team to beat this season.

Both teams have qualified for the national quarter-finals at the HFC Bank Stadium in two weeks’ time.
