Shop N Save has reaffirmed its dedication to the Fiji Police Force rugby team by extending its sponsorship for the third consecutive year as the team prepares for the upcoming Sukuna Bowl competition next month.
Mesake Waqa, Assistant Commissioner of Police and president of the Fiji Police rugby team, expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from Shop N Save. He underscored the significance of thorough preparation and the need to respect their opponents in the tournament.
The Sukuna Bowl is an eagerly awaited event that fosters friendly rivalry and camaraderie between the police and military forces. Waqa remarked, “It is indeed a challenge between the forces, and I am aware that our military colleagues will strive to retain their title.”
Waqa also commented on the recent loss of the Escott Shield by the Navy, expressing confidence that they will be well-prepared for the Sukuna Bowl.
George Brown, Security Consultant for Shop N Save, presented the sponsorship and emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting local organizations and fulfilling its social responsibility within the community. He expressed appreciation for the Police Force’s efforts in ensuring community safety and wished the rugby team success in the upcoming tournament.
The Sukuna Bowl is scheduled to take place on November 8.
