A 28-year-old man faces charges for allegedly raping his five-year-old niece, while a 29-year-old man has been charged with two counts of rape and one count of sexual assault against his 15-year-old niece. These cases were reported in the September statistics released by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP).
According to the ODPP, a total of 10 individuals were charged with 25 counts of sexual offenses throughout September. The offenses included 16 counts of rape, 2 counts of attempted rape, 2 counts of indecent assault, and 5 counts of sexual assault. Among the 10 victims, eight were minors, with two male victims and eight female victims.
Additionally, a 46-year-old man was charged with two counts of raping his 41-year-old wife. In another incident, a 20-year-old man is facing multiple charges, including four counts of rape, one count of attempted rape, two counts of indecent assault, and one count of sexual assault involving his 17-year-old cousin.
Furthermore, a 29-year-old man has been charged with attempted rape and sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl from his village. Another case involves a 20-year-old man charged with raping an 11-year-old girl from his village.
In two cases, prosecutions were discontinued due to insufficient evidence and the inability to contact or locate the victims.
