A heavy rain warning is currently active for Viti Levu, the Yasawa and Mamanuca groups, Kadavu, and nearby smaller islands, including Moala and the Southern Lau Group. Additionally, a flash flood alert has been issued for all low-lying areas prone to flash flooding in Viti Levu. The Nadi Weather Office indicates that a trough of low pressure is situated just south of the region, bringing cloud cover that impacts most parts of the country. Another active trough of low pressure, accompanied by clouds and rainfall, is expected to reach the area starting tonight. Localized heavy rain may result in flash flooding in vulnerable low-lying regions.
