Serevi’s Heart Treatment: Recovery and Gratitude Unveiled

Waisale Serevi, the legendary 7s rugby player, is currently on the mend following cardiac treatment in India. In a recent post on social media, Serevi expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka as well as his family and friends for their unwavering support and prayers during his recovery.

“I feel much better and stronger now and I’m looking forward to finishing the year strong,” he stated. He also expressed his appreciation for divine guidance, referencing a biblical verse.

Serevi recounted a recent health scare that prompted his hospital visit. “Last Tuesday, I felt pain in my right back and chest for two days, which led me to the hospital,” he said. He followed the advice of India’s Rugby President to undergo a complete medical examination.

The extensive tests he underwent, which included assessments of his heart, kidneys, lungs, and blood, all returned negative, providing him relief. “I did not have any surgery, which is a blessing,” he added.

He reiterated his thanks to Prime Minister Rabuka and his supporters, saying, “I do appreciate you all.” Earlier in the week, the Manipal Hospital where Serevi was treated confirmed that a coronary angiogram revealed minor coronary artery disease, but he was stable and expected to be moved from the ICU by Wednesday.
