The Serevi Academy of Rugby is thrilled to announce its first rugby camp of 2025, taking place today at Lawaqa Park in Fiji. This event is a significant milestone for the academy, which aims to empower youth through the transformative power of sports.
Waisale Serevi, a revered figure in the rugby community, shared the details of the camp via his social media. The program will consist of two sessions: the first from 9 AM to 11 AM for girls aged U16 to U18, and the second from 1 PM to 4 PM for boys in the same age bracket. This free camp provides an exceptional opportunity for young athletes to learn from experienced coaches and refine their rugby skills.
Serevi expressed deep gratitude for hosting this camp in his home country, stating, “I’m so grateful to God for the chance to run my first-ever Serevi Academy of Rugby camp in Fiji. It’s a true honor to give back to the youth here and to help them grow both as athletes and individuals.”
In addition to skill development, the camp promotes the vital message of resilience and drug prevention, themed “Phil4:13 STAY STRONG – SAY NO TO DRUGS.” This focus not only aims to enhance rugby talents but also seeks to instill essential life lessons that empower participants to chase their dreams with determination and resilience.
Acknowledgments were given to the Fiji Sports Council for the provision of facilities and support, along with partner Aqua Pacific. Parents or guardians wishing to enroll their children can contact Aseri Tuitubou at 9034496 or Jo Rokomarawa at 9418391 for more information.
The Serevi Academy’s initiative is more than just sports training; it represents a nurturing ground for future leaders in Fiji, inspiring them to create a brighter future both on and off the rugby field. This hopeful outlook indicates a promising path for aspiring athletes and community engagement through sports.
