A 70-year-old man has been charged with indecently assaulting a 12-year-old girl and is set to appear in the Navua Magistrates Court today. The alleged incident took place at his home on the afternoon of August 9, 2024. The accused and the victim live in the same community. The victim’s uncle reported the matter to the Navua Police. The man faces one count of indecent assault in violation of Section 212 (1) of the Crimes Act 2009.
