Fiji Water Flying Fijians center Semi Radradra is considering leaving French Top 14 club Lyon during the season to join a team in Japan. The 32-year-old is currently contracted with LOU until June 2025. However, reports from Midi Olympique suggest he has received multiple offers from clubs in the Top League and is likely to accept one of them.
Although Radradra is at an experienced stage in his career, this potential move could be one of the most financially rewarding. His time at Lyon has been challenging, with only fifteen appearances and one try since he joined.
In anticipation of Radradra’s departure, Lyon has already begun searching for replacements and is interested in Fijian Drua’s Iosefo Mafi as a possible successor. Other options under consideration include Toulouse’s Ange Capuozzo and Timoci Tavatavanawai from the Highlanders.
Radradra has played in 20 test matches for the Flying Fijians and was part of the team during the 2019 Rugby World Cup, contributing six tries while showcasing his versatility in positions such as wing, center, and fullback.
