Security Breach: Stolen Artefacts from Fiji Corrections Chief’s Residence

Authorities are looking into a break-in that occurred at the official residence of the Commissioner of the Fiji Corrections Service (FCS) in Nasese. Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed that the incident took place on September 29, despite the property being well-fenced and monitored by FCS staff. So far, no arrests have been made in connection with the case. FCS Commissioner Jalesi Nakarawa reported that a room was ransacked during the break-in, and traditional items, including a whale’s tooth or tabua, were taken.
