Residential land lots developed by the Housing Authority of Fiji (HA) in Covata, Labasa, are still available for purchase, priced between $70,000 and $130,000 for areas ranging from 250 to 600 square meters. This information was shared by the HA in its recent call for expressions of interest (EOI) regarding the remaining 50 percent of residential lots in the area.
The HA emphasized that this is a chance to secure a dream home in one of the most vibrant and growing communities in the Northern Division. Ritesh Singh, the CEO of HA, noted that the lots are conveniently located just 10 minutes from the Labasa district center and close to essential amenities such as schools and shops.
Singh encouraged individuals planning to retire in Labasa, as well as young professionals starting their careers, to consider this opportunity. He highlighted the investment potential of securing a lot to build a future home.
The site is fully serviced, featuring streetlights, footpaths, green spaces, water and sewer connections, and underground power supply.
To be eligible to apply for a residential lot, applicants must be first-time homeowners, Fiji citizens, have an annual household income of $50,000 or below, and be 18 years or older. They must also be in a position to purchase the land and build a house.
Applications can be submitted online through the Authority’s Customer Portal. The deadline for expressions of interest is Monday.
