Divisional Police Commander (DPC) Northern Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kemueli Baledrokadroka has noted an increase in incidents this month, with break-ins reported in canteens, classrooms, and offices within the schools. Police are urging educational institutions to enhance their security protocols to protect their facilities and assets.

Another incident was reported at a primary school outside Labasa Town, where an intruder forcibly entered the main office between August 8 and 9, stealing cash.

A similar occurrence was recorded between August 9 and 11 at a well-known college in Labasa, where the principal’s office was broken into, and cash was taken.
