The Sugar Cane Growers Fund (SCGF) recently won four awards at the Fiji Human Resource Institute Awards 2024. SCGF’s CEO, Raj Sharma, expressed pride in their achievement, noting that this was their first year participating in the FHRI Awards and they secured silver awards in all categories.
Sharma emphasized the organization’s commitment to employee well-being, engagement, and growth, highlighting their dedication to fostering a business culture characterized by transparency, integrity, innovation, and collaboration. He outlined that SCGF’s human resources strategies aim to create a supportive and motivating workplace, enhancing employee satisfaction and reducing turnover, all while cultivating a positive culture.
Continuous evaluation and adaptation of HR practices are essential for maintaining an engaged and productive workforce, which currently consists of 35 enthusiastic team members eager to contribute to the institution’s brand. Sharma stated, “This is not putting up the stories, but what we actually do for the people as part of the best HR practices.”
