Sanatan World Cup Controversy: Chairman Strikes Back!

Subhas Sharma, Chairman of the 10th Sanatan World Cup, has addressed various allegations regarding the event scheduled to take place in Sydney next month. He expressed concerns over misleading information being circulated by a competing organization also hosting a Sanatan World Cup in the city.

Sharma urged participants and the public to disregard what he termed false propaganda claiming that the World Cup at Blacktown Spartans Sporting Complex has been canceled. “This unnecessary campaign by the rival body aims to undermine a well-organized event,” he stated.

He criticized the rival organization for focusing on negative tactics rather than promoting their own event, which they began advertising in April of this year after breaking away from the original group. “Their campaign is rooted in falsehoods,” he remarked.

Sharma reassured everyone that the Australian Sanatan Youth & Sport Incorporated, the event hosts, is fully backed by the Shri Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji. He also confirmed that the Rams Group of Companies, a sponsor for the tournament, has secured its sanction by Football NSW through its branch, Southern Districts Soccer Football Association, with which Australia Fiji Football Inc (AuFFI) is affiliated.

“We are an affiliated member of AuFFI, and our tournament’s sanctioning is officially confirmed,” he stated. Furthermore, Sharma mentioned that there have been unfounded allegations against the Sanatan World Cup board members but reassured that these will not impact participants. He indicated that they will pursue legal action to protect the integrity of the event and uphold Sanatan values.
