Sanatan World Cup Controversy: Chairman Responds to Rival Allegations

Subhas Sharma, the Chairman of the 10th Sanatan World Cup, has addressed several allegations related to the upcoming event set to take place in Sydney next month.

With another organization also planning a Sanatan World Cup in the same city, Sharma emphasized that participants and the public should disregard misleading claims suggesting that the World Cup at Blacktown Spartans Sporting Complex has been canceled.

“This campaign is an unwarranted attempt by a rival group to undermine a carefully organized event,” he stated.

Sharma noted that after separating from the original group and promoting their own event since April, the rival organization has chosen to focus on spreading falsehoods rather than promoting their initiative constructively.

He reassured everyone involved that the Australian Sanatan Youth & Sport Incorporated, as hosts of the event, has the full backing of the Shri Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji.

Additionally, Sharma confirmed that the Rams Group of Companies is sponsoring the 10th Sanatan World Cup, which has been sanctioned by Football NSW through its affiliate, Southern Districts Soccer Football Association, to which Australia Fiji Football Inc (AuFFI) is linked.

“We are an affiliated member of AuFFI, and our tournament’s sanctioning has been validated,” he said.

Finally, he mentioned that allegations against members of the Sanatan World Cup board are unfounded and will not impact the participants. The board intends to take legal action to protect their reputation and uphold the values associated with Sanatan.
