Samoa made a strong comeback in the 2024 Pacific Nations Cup, defeating Tonga 43-17 in their second match at Apia Park today.

Following a disappointing 42-16 defeat to Fiji last week in Suva, Samoa showcased a remarkable turnaround at home with improved discipline and commitment from the players throughout the challenging match.

The home team dominated the first half, leading 17-0 at halftime, and continued their strong performance in the second half, despite Tonga attempting to score.

Samoa’s future in the tournament now depends on the outcome of the upcoming Fiji-Tonga match, which will determine whether they qualify for the PNC semifinals.
