Fans are in for an exciting rugby weekend next Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva, where the Fijian Drua and Fiji Rugby Union will feature a thrilling double-header. The event will see the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua take on the Queensland Reds, while the Vodafone Fijiana will face off against the Wallaroos in what promises to be a day filled with sporting action.

Shane Hussein, General Manager Commercial for the Fijian Drua, highlighted that ticket prices start from $25 for the grass embankment area and go up to $75 and beyond for main stand seating. This accessibility reflects an effort to encourage wider attendance and support for the teams.

For the Vodafone Fijiana, this match marks their 42nd Test and the 12th played on home soil, according to Alana Thomas, Fiji Rugby Women’s High-Performance Manager. She expressed enthusiasm, emphasizing the importance of beginning the year’s campaign on a strong note.

In preparation for the big day, the Fiji Rugby Union has collaborated on marketing and fan activation strategies to make Suva the place to be on May 3. The match schedule features the Drua going up against the Reds at 2:05 PM, followed by the Fijiana 15s battling the Wallaroos at 5 PM.

With growing interest in women’s rugby, this double-header signifies not only a pivotal moment for the teams but also an opportunity to cultivate community interest and enthusiasm for the sport.
