The All Nations Christian Fellowship successfully hosted a two-day Epic 7s Tournament over the weekend at Prince Charles Park, which concluded yesterday. The event drew large crowds and aimed to raise funds for building a new church. It showcased thrilling rugby action, featuring 20 senior men’s teams, 24 U21 teams, and five women’s teams, all competing for a noble cause.

This tournament is part of the church’s three-year plan to gather between $30,000 and $35,000 needed for constructing a new place of worship in Suva. The church community aimed to raise between $20,000 and $25,000 from the tournament, and organizers expressed their excitement about the turnout and the support received.

Tournament Director Vilitati Galivia detailed their objectives, saying, “The main goal of this tournament is to build an All Nations Christian Fellowship Church in Suva. We already have land in Suva but need to construct our church, with a budget of approximately $30,000 to $35,000. We are working on a three-year plan and hope to raise $20,000 to $25,000 from these two days of the 7s tournament.”

The tournament featured teams from the Western, Northern, and Eastern divisions. The police team showcased a dominant performance throughout the competition. Teams from the Western and Northern divisions also demonstrated impressive skills and sportsmanship, contributing to a highly competitive tournament.
