Residents in the Labasa area are being notified of temporary road closures set for Monday, October 7, and Thursday, October 10.
The Director of Operations for the Fiji Police Force, Senior Superintendent Kasiano Vusonilawe, announced that the closures are necessary for the dry run of the Fiji Day celebrations on Monday and for the actual celebration on Thursday.
On Monday, the roads at the junctions of Y-corner and Park Street will be closed starting at 9 AM for the dry run, while on Thursday, these roads will shut down from 6 AM for the event.
During these closures, the Fiji Police Force urges the public to be patient and understanding. Traffic officers will be on site to manage traffic flow.
