Residents in the Labasa area are being notified of temporary road closures scheduled for Monday, October 7, and Thursday, October 10.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police Kasiano Vusonilawe, Director of Operations for the Fiji Police Force, these closures are necessary to facilitate the dry run for the Fiji Day celebrations on Monday and for the actual event on Thursday.
The roads at the intersections of Y-corner and Park Street will be closed starting at 9 AM on Monday for the dry run, while on Thursday, the same roads will be closed from 6 AM.
The Fiji Police Force is asking for the public’s patience and understanding during these times. Traffic officers will be present to help manage the flow of traffic.
