Last month, authorities documented a total of 118 cases of sexual offenses, with rape being the most frequent crime, closely followed by indecent assault.
Other reported incidents included offenses such as indecently insulting or harassing an individual, sexual assaults, abductions of individuals under 18, attempts to commit rape, defilement, and assaults with the intent to commit rape.
Acting Commissioner of Police Sakeo Raikaci has urged communities to collaborate with the Fiji Police Force to combat crime effectively.
