Monika Masi, a Year 4 student at Navala Catholic Primary School, achieved a remarkable victory by winning a gold medal in the U9 girls’ long jump event during the Ba Primary School athletics competition yesterday. The young athlete from Navala Village is now setting her sights on participating in the prestigious Chow Games in Suva next month.
Although Masi is known for her quiet demeanor, her determination to succeed is evident. “I want to thank God for the win. My aim is to go to Suva,” she expressed.
With her outstanding performance and ambitious goals, Monika is well-prepared to represent her school and compete against some of the country’s finest athletes.
