“I thank the coaches for their selections; it was a good first leg for me despite the outcomes,” Nakacia shared. She acknowledged the daunting yet thrilling experience of playing in front of large crowds for the first time.
The significance of wearing the white jersey was a key motivator for Nakacia. “The white jersey reminded me why I was there,” she said, emphasizing how it instilled confidence in her performance.
Adapting to the fast-paced nature of the game came as a surprise to Nakacia, as she noted, “The game is really fast on the big stage; there is no time to waste and no time to be slow.” This realization underscores the intensity of international rugby and her determination to improve continually.
With her sights set on future tournaments, Nakacia mentioned, “We are beginning work for the next leg now, and I hope I do enough to get selected.” So far, she has made a notable impact, recording five tries in nine matches during the two tournaments of the SVSNS World Series.
