Fiji U16 player Rishal Shankar has been selected to join Suva’s 22-member squad for the upcoming FMF Inter District Championship (IDC) in Lautoka next week.
Shankar recently showcased his skills at the OFC Championship held in Tahiti in August, where he was a key performer, scoring crucial goals that helped Fiji secure a spot in the FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar next year.
The squad also includes New Zealand-based striker Samuela Drudru, alongside Solomon Islanders Jaygrey Sipikana and Gagame Feni, as well as Vanuatu’s Joe Moses.
Flick Hygiene Suva will compete in Group A, which features Extra Supermarket Labasa, Stratum Construction/Zeg Investment Navua, and Flick Hygiene Lautoka. The team, coached by Babs Khan, will begin its campaign against Labasa at 3:30 PM on Tuesday.
