Discipline and passion have driven Muizz Mujib Buksh to notable success, earning him several awards at the Vunimoli Islamia College (VIC) prizegiving ceremony on Wednesday. As the head boy of VIC in Labasa, Muizz received the prestigious Leadership Award, achieved the highest mark in Agricultural Science, and garnered accolades in athletics, including a special commendation for his contributions to the school football team.
Currently in year 13, Muizz boasts an impressive athletic background, having secured a gold medal in the 3000 meters at the Macuata athletics zone two competition and competing in the 3000m final at the Coca-Cola Games. He attributes his ability to balance academics and sports to the invaluable support and guidance of his parents.
Muizz believes firmly in the notion that “nothing is impossible,” and aims to inspire his peers to pursue their dreams and strive for excellence, both in athletics and leadership. He expresses deep gratitude towards his teachers, parents, and classmates for their unwavering support.
Looking ahead, Muizz aspires to become a veterinarian and has applied for enrollment at Massey University in New Zealand to advance his education next year.
