Boxer Maureen Neumia is encouraging women across the nation to embrace the sport of boxing. She began her boxing journey in 2019, motivated by her husband, Fred Chand, who is a promoter for South Pacific Boxing Promotion.
Neumia, 37, emphasized the importance of women participating in boxing, highlighting that they excel in various other sports. As she prepares for her upcoming fight against Amo Wati at Prince Charles Park in Nadi this Saturday, Neumia expressed her determination, stating she has trained diligently alongside her son and feels ready for the match.
She has also invited boxing enthusiasts to attend the event, which will feature three International Boxing Organisation (IBO) Asia Pacific titles on the line.
