Youths aged 18 to 35 were responsible for the highest number of crimes reported last month. Acting Commissioner of Police Sakeo Raikaci indicated that a total of 838 individuals were charged with various offenses during that time. Among those charged, 48 were juveniles, while offenders in the 18 to 35 age bracket accounted for 486 cases. Additionally, there were 266 offenders aged 36 to 55, and 38 individuals aged 56 and older.

ACP Sakeo expressed concern over the involvement of juveniles in criminal activities, emphasizing the negative impact this has on their education and future. He called for support from families and communities to help guide and mentor young people.

The Fiji Police Force plans to enhance its operations as the festive season approaches, urging everyone to adhere to the law to ensure safer communities for all.
