New Zealand has reported 1761 new Covid-19 cases over the week leading up to Sunday, along with 16 additional deaths attributed to the virus.
Of these new cases, 1069 were reinfections.
There are currently 134 cases in hospital, with none in intensive care.
Canterbury reported the highest number of new cases, followed by Waitematā, Counties Manukau, and Waikato.
These numbers are lower than the previous week when Te Whatu Ora reported 2414 new cases and 22 further deaths attributed to the virus.
