Major General Ro Jone Kalouniwai, Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces, has expressed his views on the government’s efforts to review the 2013 Constitution. He stated that attempting to test the provisions within the Constitution, even multiple times, poses no harm if amendments are being considered. Kalouniwai emphasized that the RFMF has always supported adherence to the rule of law and relevant processes. He noted that there are legal provisions available for the government to utilize if they wish to make changes, reinforcing that their decision to review the Constitution is a political choice deemed appropriate.
