Today marks the conclusion of the third day of the Ratu Sukuna Bowl competition, where the RFMF Army Wives successfully defended their Netball title by narrowly defeating the Police Wives with a score of 25 to 22 at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva.
In addition, Army Servers 2 emerged as victors by overcoming Police Servers 2 with a score of 44 to 29. The Army Wives’ coach, Seini Naigatogato, expressed gratitude towards the senior members of the team for their support and guidance in preparing the squad to retain their championship title. She acknowledged the importance of experience in building the team’s strength and aims to bring in new talent for future competitions.
Team Captain Venina Naigatogato commended her team’s collective effort and emphasized that their victory came down to fitness and teamwork. She highlighted the tension of the competition, especially since Police Servers 2 had previously taken home the title last year.
