Rewa’s Striking Momentum: Can They Keep the Heat Against Nadi?

The Extra Supermarket Rewa team, coached by Rodeck Singh, is poised to deliver another strong performance against Mahijibhai Hardware/Calgary Nadi in their second pool match of the Super Premier division at Churchill Park in Lautoka today. This follows their impressive 7-0 victory over Nadroga in their opening pool game held at the same venue yesterday.

John Orobulu, known for his speed, was the standout player, scoring five goals in a remarkable display of talent. His contributions significantly elevated the team’s performance, setting a high benchmark for the remainder of the tournament. Orobulu’s goals occurred at the 21st, 25th, 62nd, 77th minutes, and during injury time. Additional goals from Asivorosi Rabo and Epeli Valevou came in the 30th and 31st minutes, respectively.

Coach Rodeck Singh noted that the team started the match strongly, emphasizing the importance of a good beginning in such a major tournament. He expressed gratitude toward his players for their performance, stating that they have created a solid foundation for future matches.

Looking ahead, Singh mentioned the strategic focus on the upcoming game against Nadi. He stressed the need to take each game as it comes and the importance of securing three points against Nadi.
