The Extra Supermarket Rewa team, coached by Rodeck Singh, is gearing up for another decisive match against Mahijibhai Hardware/Calgary Nadi in their second pool game of the Super Premier division at Churchill Park in Lautoka today. This follows a commanding 7-0 victory over Nadroga in their opening game at the same venue yesterday.

The Solomon Islands international’s performance set a high benchmark for the rest of the tournament, with his goals coming in the 21st, 25th, 62nd, 77th minutes, as well as during injury time. Additionally, Asivorosi Rabo (30th minute) and Epeli Valevou (31st minute) contributed to the scoreline for the Delta Tigers.

Singh praised his team’s strong start to the tournament, emphasizing the importance of a good beginning in a prestigious event like IDC. He expressed gratitude towards his players for their performance, noting that it has established a solid foundation for future matches.

The coach highlighted their upcoming strategy, stating that their focus will shift towards neutralizing Nadi in their next game. “We’re taking it one game at a time; now we are concentrating on how to secure those important three points against Nadi,” he said.

Rewa’s match against Nadi is scheduled for 6 pm today.
