The Extra Supermarket Rewa team, coached by Rodeck Singh, is poised to compete again today against Mahijibhai Hardware/Calgary Nadi in their second pool match of the Super Premier division at Churchill Park in Lautoka. This follows their impressive 7-0 victory over Nadroga in their first pool game yesterday at the same venue.

Star player John Orobulu delivered an outstanding performance, scoring five goals during the match, highlighting his exceptional abilities and contribution to the team’s success. The Solomon Islands international’s goals came in the 21st, 25th, 62nd, 77th minutes, and during injury time. Additional goals were scored by Asivorosi Rabo in the 30th minute and Epeli Valevou in the 31st minute.

Coach Rodeck Singh expressed his satisfaction with the team’s strong start. “This is one of the starts we wanted. We knew IDC is one of the big tournaments, and for us to start well is super important. I thank the boys for this start, and I think now we have set a platform for ourselves,” he stated.

Looking ahead, Singh emphasized the need for a focused approach against Nadi. “We take one game at a time, now we look at how we want to go about business against Nadi and securing those three points is super important for us as well.” The match against Nadi is set to begin at 6pm today.
