Rewa’s Dominance Continues: Will They Overcome Nadi?

The Extra Supermarket Rewa team, coached by Rodeck Singh, is set to face Mahijibhai Hardware/Calgary Nadi in their second pool match of the Super Premier division at Churchill Park in Lautoka today.

This follows their impressive 7-0 victory over Nadroga in their opening pool game yesterday at the same location.

John Orobulu made a remarkable impact by scoring five goals, demonstrating excellent skill throughout the match. The Solomon Islands international’s performance has set a high benchmark for the tournament. He netted goals in the 21st, 25th, 62nd, 77th minutes, and during injury time. Additional goals for the Delta Tigers came from Asivorosi Rabo and Epeli Valevou, who scored in the 30th and 31st minutes, respectively.

Rewa head coach Rodeck Singh praised his team’s performance. “This is one of the starts we wanted. We knew IDC is one of the big tournaments, and for us to start well is incredibly important. I thank the boys for this start; I think we have set a platform for ourselves,” he said.

Singh stated that the team’s focus will now shift to their upcoming match against Nadi. “We take one game at a time; now we look at how we want to approach the game against Nadi, and securing those three points is crucial for us,” he added.

Rewa’s match against Nadi is scheduled for 6 p.m. today.
