Pacific Specialist Healthcare (PSH) has announced new payment options aimed at helping patients dealing with financial hardships, regardless of the complexity or cost of their treatment or surgery. Founder and CEO Parvish Kumar stated that the organization prioritizes saving lives, making financial aspects secondary.
Currently, PSH offers general practitioner consultations at an affordable rate of $11.50 available 24/7. Kumar confirmed that while treatments and procedures may incur higher costs based on the specific illness and required work, PSH is committed to providing flexible payment solutions for those in need.
Kumar highlighted that no other private hospitals in Fiji or the broader Pacific have implemented such patient-centric initiatives. He expressed concern over the significant loss of lives attributed to the inability to afford immediate medical assistance. “Our ultimate goal is to make complex treatments, including open-heart surgeries, available free of charge for deserving patients, not just in Fiji but throughout the Pacific Island nations,” he added.
The establishment of a PSH Foundation is also in the works, which will encompass influential leaders from across the Pacific region. This foundation aims to broaden the reach of their services and solidify PSH’s role as a pioneer in the regional healthcare sector. Kumar anticipates many exciting developments in 2025, including strategic partnerships with stakeholders and government agencies to expand specialized healthcare access to communities at the grassroots level.
