Pacific Specialist Healthcare’s birthing facility in Nadi is celebrating a remarkable track record for all its patients. The hospital encourages expectant parents to explore reviews and testimonials shared on social media platforms like Facebook and TikTok, highlighting the positive experiences of new mothers and fathers as they welcome their newborns.

Led by Dr. Tui Taoi, Fiji’s top obstetrician and gynecologist, PSH’s maternity team consists entirely of female nurses and nursing assistants, ensuring privacy and comfort for expectant mothers. The presence of an all-female staff has received enthusiastic approval from many mothers, as well as their partners, according to PSH’s Director and CEO, Parvish Kumar.

“We often hear gratitude from these mothers,” Mr. Kumar noted. “After delivering, they enjoy private rooms equipped with amenities like television, lounge suites, and beverage-making facilities. We have designed these rooms to feel like a five-star hotel experience.” Fathers are encouraged to stay with their partners during their hospital stay.

Recently, Kumar announced their decision to operate the Nadi branch of PSH Hospitals 24/7, which they implemented two weeks ago. This initiative is proving beneficial as they have seen an increase in patients seeking medical care at night. The facility treated numerous patients from the airport last week for urgent issues such as asthma, food poisoning, fever, and sudden abdominal pains.

With an affordable consultation fee of $11.50, PSH is making healthcare more accessible to the community. The hospital is exploring partnerships with foreign companies to potentially offer free services to those in need. “Our primary goal is to enhance health services and promote universal health coverage, providing solutions to healthcare challenges,” Mr. Kumar stated.

PSH aims to alleviate the burden on public health systems by providing advanced and expedited treatment options. They are committed to finding ways to offer free services for the most vulnerable in society. “PSH Hospitals represent a new approach to healthcare. Speak with us, and you will understand that empathy is at the core of our mission,” he emphasized.

Patients visiting general practitioners pay only $11.50, regardless of whether it’s during normal hours or in emergencies. “We offer competitive rates for a range of medical procedures and have flexible payment plans available for those needing assistance,” Mr. Kumar added, mentioning that patients should adhere to their financial agreements.
