Pacific Specialist Healthcare’s birthing facility in Nadi is proud of its outstanding success rate among patients. The hospital encourages expectant parents to explore reviews and social media posts, such as those on Facebook and TikTok, where new mothers and fathers have shared their joyful experiences following the birth of their children.

Led by Dr. Tui Taoi, Fiji’s leading obstetrician and gynecologist, the PSH Obstetrics and Gynaecology facility features an all-female birthing team, including nurses and assistants, ensuring privacy for expectant mothers. Parvish Kumar, the director and Chief Executive Officer of PSH, noted that this all-female approach has garnered positive responses from many mothers and fathers alike.

Mothers who give birth at PSH enjoy private rooms equipped with televisions, lounge suites, and beverage-making facilities, designed to resemble five-star hotel accommodations. Fathers are encouraged to stay with their wives during their hospital stay.

Kumar expressed satisfaction with the decision to open the Nadi branch of PSH Hospitals 24 hours a day, which began two weeks ago, as they have witnessed an increase in nighttime patients. Many individuals arriving at the nearby airport have sought urgent medical attention for various ailments, including asthma, food poisoning, fever, and sudden abdominal pains.

The facility’s affordable consultation fee of $11.50 has significantly supported public access to healthcare, with plans being explored to offer these services for free. PSH has approached foreign companies for potential collaborations to achieve this goal.

PSH Hospitals aims to enhance healthcare services and promote universal health coverage while addressing societal challenges related to healthcare access. The facility has provided free services to numerous patients, emphasizing its commitment to alleviating stress from the public healthcare system by offering advanced and efficient treatment options.

Kumar stated, “PSH Hospitals is a different breed of hospital; come talk to us, and you will realize that empathy is in every pulse of PSH Hospitals.” Patients visiting the general practitioners pay only $11.50, regardless of the time of day, whether during regular hours or in emergencies.

The hospital also presents competitive rates for medical procedures and offers installment plans for major procedures under certain conditions. However, patients are expected to honor their financial commitments.
