Reverend Tevita Nawadra, the former president of the Methodist Church, has passed away at the age of 73. The church’s general secretary confirmed the news of his death in a statement released yesterday morning.
Rev Nawadra served as president after being elected to the position in August 2014, having previously held the role of general secretary within the church. Reverend Jolame Lasawa, the current general secretary, mentioned that the church would be making arrangements for Rev Nawadra’s funeral, with details expected to be shared on the iTaukei radio show ‘Raici Jisu Matua’ on Sunday.
