Former president of the Methodist Church, Reverend Tevita Nawadra, has passed away at the age of 73. The church’s general-secretary confirmed the news of his death yesterday morning.
Rev Nawadra was elected president in August 2014, having previously served as the church’s general-secretary. Reverend Jolame Lasawa, the current general-secretary, stated that the church would hold discussions regarding funeral arrangements, with announcements set to be made on the iTaukei radio programme ‘Raici Jisu Matua’ this Sunday.
