Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka participated in a memorial service to honor the late Diwan Chand Maharaj at the Davuilevu Crematorium. Maharaj was the founder of Fiji’s prominent printing company, Quality Print PTE Limited.

In addition to establishing Quality Print, Diwan was instrumental in co-founding Sun Insurance PTE Limited in 1999. Since 1990, he has been a committed member of the Rotary Club and served as the national president of the Sanatan Dharam Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji.
Prime Minister Rabuka recalled his experiences with Diwan, including attending the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington. He emphasized Diwan’s roles as a family man, grandfather, great-grandfather, and mentor. The Prime Minister concluded with a heartfelt farewell: “Moce to’a mada Diwan, may your soul rest in peace.”
