The Ministry of Education has announced the provisional results for the FY12CE examinations, showing that 12,858 students participated in 2024 and achieved a commendable pass rate of 76%, an improvement from 74% in 2023. Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro, congratulated the hardworking Year 12 students, commending their dedication and perseverance through challenges which lay a solid foundation for their future.
In his remarks, Radrodro expressed appreciation for the contributions of teachers, parents, and guardians, highlighting their crucial roles in guiding students throughout their academic journeys. He noted that this year’s results reflect the commitment of the entire educational community, emphasizing the effectiveness of educational initiatives aimed at enhancing academic performance.
Additionally, Radrodro recognized three secondary schools that achieved an outstanding 100% pass rate: Yasawa North Secondary School, Wainimakutu Secondary School, and Labasa College. Furthermore, other government schools, including Bucalevu Secondary School and Adi Cakobau School, also demonstrated significant performance, each attaining a pass rate above 95%.
Students who wish to challenge their results can apply for recounts or remarks through the Examinations and Assessment Office within a 30-day provisional period. The Ministry encourages continued engagement and support from families and educators to foster further academic success.
