Kalaveti Ravouvou, a Flying Fijians centre, made a significant impact in his season debut for Bristol Bears, scoring two tries to help secure a 31-23 bonus-point victory over a revamped Northampton side. The match marked Bristol’s first home win of the season.

Northampton started strong, establishing a 15-0 lead within the first 20 minutes thanks to George Hendy and Josh Kemeny. However, Bristol quickly responded with two tries, one from Ravouvou and another from Gabriel Ibitoye, bringing them back into the match.

Ravouvou’s second try put Bristol ahead by a slim margin, and Joe Batley later extended their lead with a fourth try just 10 minutes before the end of the game. Although Northampton’s James Ramm added a late try with just 60 seconds left, it was not enough to affect the outcome, marking the Saints’ sixth consecutive Premiership defeat away from home.

With this win, Bristol has secured four straight victories against Northampton and has moved ten points clear of them at the top of the table ahead of the weekend’s remaining fixtures.
