“Rave Reviews for Suva Grammar School Cadets”

A total of 875 students from Suva Grammar School successfully participated in their cadet passing-out parade at Suva’s Albert Park yesterday. Despite the heat, they showcased the disciplined training they had received over the past few weeks. Family, friends, and loved ones gathered in large numbers to witness the event.

Chief guest RFMF Human Resources director Colonel Jofiliti Gadevulatolu Talemaibau, who reviewed the parade, praised the cadet corps for their excellent and exceptional performance demonstrated through professional drill movements and discipline.

“You are the tools upon which our beloved Fiji’s future will rest,” Colonel Talemaibau said in his address to the cadets. “We need to strive for excellence academically while also developing a sense of maturity to perform exceptionally.”

He emphasized that cadet training is designed to instill discipline and teamwork. “A disciplined upbringing will carry you a long way in life and help you withstand the challenges we now face in our environment. We need a drug-free Fiji to build a strong future for our children and their descendants. The champion edge is not given by birth, a high IQ, or talent; it resides in the attitude.”

Colonel Talemaibau also mentioned that the Ministry of Education is committed to providing a better education system, which requires a collaborative effort.
