Ratu Kadavulevu School: Unstoppable Champions Eyes on Next Title!

Ratu Kadavulevu School continued their impressive winning streak last Saturday by clinching the Vodafone Deans Trophy Under-17 title. The team has maintained an undefeated record since their U14 grade.

In an interview, head coach Usaia Naqicitabua expressed confidence in the team’s preparation for the upcoming year, aiming to restore their glory at Delainakaikai. “During halftime, I told the boys to focus on defense, as this is the final,” Naqicitabua stated. “We can’t afford to make lazy mistakes at critical moments in the match.”

He noted that the team remained composed and well-prepared, particularly in the final ten minutes of the game, which allowed them to secure victory. “The secret to our success lies in the unity and bond among the players. Although about 12 players who initially formed this team have moved on, I commend the current boys for continuing this legacy.”

Regarding goals for the next year, Naqicitabua mentioned, “It has been a long time since the school has aimed to reclaim the Under-18 title. It will be a challenge, but we will train hard to bring back the glory.”
