Ratu Kadavulevu School: Unstoppable Champions Eyes on Next Glory!

Ratu Kadavulevu School continued their impressive winning streak last Saturday by clinching the Vodafone Deans Trophy Under-17 title. The team has maintained an undefeated record since the Under-14 grade.

In an interview with SUNsports, head coach Usaia Naqicitabua expressed confidence in the team’s preparation for the upcoming year, emphasizing their goal to bring glory back to Delainakaikai.

During halftime of the final match, Naqicitabua urged his players to strengthen their defensive efforts, stating, “We cannot keep on doing those lazy mistakes at the crucial time of the match.” He commended the team’s composure and preparation, particularly during the final 10 minutes of the game, which helped secure their victory.

“The secret behind this team is the unity and bond among the players. About 12 players who started this team have left, but credit goes to today’s boys for creating this legacy,” he noted.

When discussing next year’s objectives, Naqicitabua acknowledged the challenge of reclaiming the Under-18 title, which has eluded the school for some time. He is determined to prepare diligently and work hard to achieve their goal.
